Navarre Beach Newborn Photographer
Unhurried lifestyle newborn sessions in your own home, or on the sand once everyone is ready.
In your home, not a studio
I photograph newborns the way they actually exist in the first few weeks, which is to say in your bed, on your sofa, in the room you painted for them. No posing beans, no props, no scheduled naked baby on a fur rug.
This matters practically as well as aesthetically. Your house is warm, the baby is near everything they need, and nobody has to load a two week old into a car seat and drive somewhere. If feeding takes forty minutes in the middle of it, that is completely fine. It is built into how I run these.
The photographs you end up with are of your family in your own light, in the house you brought them home to. In ten years that room will be the thing you had forgotten.

When to book
The first two weeks are the classic window, because newborns are sleepiest and curl most naturally then. Between five and fourteen days is ideal if you want that.
That said, some of my favorite newborn sessions have been at four and five weeks, when babies are awake more and starting to look at people. If the first two weeks came and went in a blur, you have not missed anything.
Book while you are still pregnant if you can. I hold a rough week rather than a fixed date and we confirm once the baby actually arrives, because they are not known for punctuality.
Big brothers and big sisters
A three year old meeting a newborn is one of the best things I get to photograph, and also one of the least controllable. My approach is to get the pictures with the older child first, in the first fifteen minutes, while the novelty is still holding.
After that they are free to go play and we keep shooting. The photographs of the older sibling wandering off are usually the honest ones anyway.
Nobody needs to be told to smile. If your toddler wants to hold the baby, we do that. If they want nothing to do with the baby, that is also a real photograph of this exact moment in your family.

Beach newborn sessions
If you would rather have the Gulf in the background, we can absolutely do that, usually once the baby is a few weeks old and you are up for leaving the house.
We keep those short, we go at golden hour when it is coolest, and we bring everything you need. Navarre Beach at sunset with a newborn wrapped up against you is a genuinely beautiful thing.
For very new babies I would still steer you toward home first, and then a beach session for the three or six month milestone.
